At OMS LubriTek, we deliver a complete range of advanced hydraulic oils – from mineral blends to fully synthetic and biodegradable solutions – engineered to maximise machine efficiency, extend oil life, and reduce downtime in the plastics industry and beyond.
Since founding the business, the team at OMS LubriTek had a desire to change the “norm” of the lubricants used in the plastics industry. Although hydraulic oil is traditionally deemed as commodity product, our goal was to buck this trend and develop and promote a range of higher performing hydraulic oils with an aim of educating our customers of the benefits they can gain. This philosophy is based around implementing a proactive oil management program, utilising semi-synthetic or fully synthetic base oil technology to offer longer hydraulic oil life & energy efficiency performance with an aim of minimising hydraulic related machine issues and maximising production efficiency rates.
OMS LubriTek are a business that never stand still with our hydraulic oil developments. We were at the forefront of promoting semi-synthetic base oil technology, launching our GPII UltraLife range many years before major oil companies changed from mineral base oils & our most recent hydraulic oil range GPIV UltraLife PAO-D is a unique formulation designed to offer a truly sustainable hydraulic oil for use in hydraulic systems which require the ultimate performance & life with its resistance to oxidisation.
In addition to our own range of high performing hydraulic oils and lubricants, OMS LubriTek have partnered with major oil companies such as Shell, Mobil, Total & Fuchs to offer a wide product range selection enabling us to be in a position to satisfy all OEM requirements, particularly for initial oil fills – for example Shell Tellus S2 MX 46 & Mobil DTE 25 Ultra are requirements of Husky, while Fuchs Renolin MR 46 MC is approved and utilised by ARBURG Ltd within the UK plastics industry.
To complement our vast range of hydraulic oil offerings OMS LubriTek are the official UK Service Partner of for Mi240 manufactured by Performance Biolubricants (part of the M&I Materials Group). Mi240 is readily biodegradable (in OECD 301 test), fully saturated synthetic ester (SSE) hydraulic oil designed to provide superior protection and reduce component wear and resist varnish build up due to exceptional resistance to oxidisation. Chemistry is the key behind the performance of Mi240, offering superior wear protection through its polarity making it adhere to metal surfaces, which has also proven to offer energy savings of 8.16% when compared in trials to mineral base hydraulic oil.
Blended from solvent refined base oil (mineral), combined with high performing additive pack that provide anti-wear, anti-corrosion, anti-foaming & oxidisation resistance (VG46 2208 hours in TOST test) to ensure this mineral hydraulic oil range meets industry standards, in particular within the plastics industry DIN 51524-2 (HLP). The GPI LubriTek range of hydraulic oils is available in Zinc containing, Zinc Free (Ash Free) which are requirements in certain hydraulic systems with sensitive metals & also High Viscosity Index (HVI) which meets DIN 51534 Part 3 (HVLP)
Blended from high quality hydrated (semi-synthetic) base oil our GPII UltraLife hydraulic oil range offers a pure base oil where the manufacturing process removes a greater level of carbon & sulphur elements. The benefit of this when used in machinery is a significantly higher resistance to oxidisation when compared to commonly found mineral base hydraulic oils. The TOST (Turbine Oil Stability Test) is an industry standard test under ASTM D943 and indicates the hydraulic oils resistance to oxidisation. As a comparison a mineral VG46 hydraulic oil has a TOST result of 2208 hours, whereas GPII UltraLife 46 has a TOST result of 6460 hours. Combined the base oil with high performing additive pack that provide anti-wear, anti-corrosion, anti-foaming & oxidisation resistance to ensure this semi-synthetic hydraulic oil range meets industry standards, in particular within the plastics industry DIN 51524-2 HLP. The GPII UltraLife range of hydraulic oils is available in Zinc containing, Zinc Free (Ash Free), High Viscosity Index HVI (VG46 VI-156) which meets DIN 51524 Part 3 HVLP – GPII UltraLife 68 ZF-HVI has been approve for use by Netstal.
Blended from high quality hydrated (semi-synthetic) base oil our GPII UltraLife EE 46 hydraulic oil offers a pure base oil where the manufacturing process removes a greater level of carbon & sulphur elements. The major difference with GPII UltraLife EE 46 is that the additive pack was invented by our additive partner Lubrizol, in addition to all the typical performance requirements of the additive pack to ensure our range meets all the specifications but also a special polymer which has been proven to reduce secondary flows (turbulence) through the hydraulic system. This makes the hydraulic oil flow in a linear direction and during extensive trials performed in partnership with OMS LubriTek / Engel UK and Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation energy savings of 8.5% were measured with information For detailed information on our GPII UltraLife EE 46 click here. This product meets the technical performance of Bosch Rexroth RDE 90235
GPIII+ UltraLife is a premium semi-synthetic hydraulic oil blended from Group 3 base oil technology, offering a significant step up in performance from conventional Group 2 mineral-based products. Zinc containing and Zinc free (ash free) safe for use in hydraulic systems with sensitive metals, whilst its friction-modified, energy-efficient formulation helps reduce running costs. Low polymer or polymer-free in composition offer significantly increased shear stability against modified HVI hydraulic oils leading to longer service life & viscosity stability. GPIII+ UltraLife delivers outstanding oxidation resistance with a TOST life in excess of 10,000 hours. Available in ISO VG 46 and 68, it meets DIN 51524 Part 3 HVLP and key OEM specifications including Denison HF-0, and is supplied to ISO 4406 17/14/11 as standard due to pre-filtration. This product meets the technical performance of Bosch Rexroth RDE 90235.
GPIV UltraLife PAO-D Premium Hydraulic Oil series are an ultra-performance, 100% synthetic (blend of Polyalphaolefin & Ester) complete with detergency additive and being a Zinc / Ash Free formulation is suitable for systems with sensitive metals. GPIV UltraLife PAO-D ultra-performance and base oil technology makes it suitable for demanding applications, such as manufacturing environments with 24/7 production, high hydraulic oil temperatures (>50deg C) and smaller systems. Thus, offering greater resistance to oxidation and varnish/sludge formation. The detergency additive also maintains systems cleanliness to again support long life performance, offering a truly sustainable solution for demanding hydraulic applications, in particular GPIV UltraLife PAO-D 46 has proven to resist varnish formation, offering long service life in demanding applications such as blow moulding machinery and fast cycling injection moulding manufacturing companies in medical, food industries with 24/7 production. GPIV UltraLife PAO-D 46 is the ultimate hydraulic oil formulation, proving to reduce hydraulic related issues and is in service in many injection and blow moulding machines such as Netstal, Husky, Billion & Soplar which all operate in demanding process applications. GPIV UltraLife PAO-D meets the following specifications DIN 51524 PART 3 HVLP-D & ISO 11158 HV. Due to its nature and formulation, the GPIV UltraLife PAO-D range offers extensive resistance to oxidisation exceeding 12000 hours of TOST life, over six times the life of conventional mineral oil based hydraulic fluids. It also has an extremely high viscosity index of 171 for GPIV UltraLife PAO-D 46 & 147 for GPIV UltraLife PAO-D 68 making it suitable for wide range of low to high operating temperatures while maintaining viscosity at high temperature and helping with cold start up.
