OMS LubriTek, a specialist oil management service provider to the UK plastics industry, has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability after receiving a Sustainable Waste Management Certificate from Slicker Recycling — the UK’s largest waste oil collection company and a recognised leader in environmental waste management services.
The certification was awarded in 2025 in recognition of OMS LubriTek’s efforts in returning all waste oil to the circular economy, preventing over 40,000kg of CO2 emissions in the process. This achievement reinforces the sustainability credentials of both OMS LubriTek and the customers it serves.
Through its partnership with Slicker Recycling, OMS LubriTek has access to a comprehensive waste handling package covering used oil, contaminated waste, and dry or mixed recycling streams. By channelling waste oil back into the circular economy rather than sending it for alternative fuel processing, the collaboration delivers meaningful reductions in carbon emissions.
The certification also ties into OMS LubriTek’s wider approach to oil management, which centres on the use of high-performance hydraulic oils as part of an ongoing maintenance programme. Their premium oil ranges are designed to support energy-efficient hydraulic systems, extend oil life significantly, and improve overall production efficiency compared with traditional mineral-based alternatives — further reducing waste at source.
